Teaser Panel
Here is a panel that I liked from page 6 of SY #4. It's not really giving any of the story away and I'm not going to give any back story to it... you'll just have to read it for yourself. :)

Merry Christmas
Goodness, I haven't published anything on here for waaay too long. I promise, I have been working non stop on Sonic Youth, homework, and sketch cards. Sonic youth only has one page left to pencil and then I can ink it and have it out in the next 2 weeks (I hope...). I will have some of the page work from SY posted when I'm completely finished with it. Here are some of the cards I've been working on in the meantime and I hope you all have a Merry Christmas.

Tucson Stuff
Here are some images from the Tucson show, as you can tell, I was still sporting my Zach Galifianakis beard for everyone to enjoy. I kept pretty busy talking to all of you and drawing pictures all day so unfortunately I do not have a lot of fun photos to share. As of right now I don't think we are doing any new shows before the end of the year but that may change, so I'll keep you all in the loop. Also, I'll let you know when Sonic Youth #4 is done, which should be by the end of the month... maybe.

New News, Not old News...
Alright! I finally have the script for Sonic Youth Issue 4 in my hands and I have to say, it's going in a direction even I didn't expect. (Disclaimer, I may be the creator and gave the general idea for the book but every detail in the script in Shawn's own creation, and he is doing a terrific job in my opinion.) I'm super excited to get going on this one because it is another issue that is going to really test my skill and creativity as an artist. The next item is Tucson Comicon, which is only 2 weeks away now. I'm going to have several new sketch cards, prints and the compiled version of Sonic Youth 1-3 with a color cover. Plus, I'll also be taking commissions at the show so come ready with ideas. Hope you all can make it down to show and see you soon. For now, enjoy some sketch cards.

New Sketch card and Experiments...
Wonder Woman sketch card completed! She'll be on sale in Tucson for $15. The other image needs a little explanation since it's something I haven't tried since art school. So this was just an experiment I ended up liking. This is drawn on paper that was scored by multiple exacto knife cuts. I was trimming some other art work and I really liked the patterns that emerged so I decided to draw over it and then color it with copic markers. I'm pretty happy with the outcome but wish i would've drawn her nipples in 1st before coloring... they are a little out of place but oh well, bad boob job I guess. I think I'm going to play with these effects even more in the future to see what comes out of it because I think it crates some very interesting textures.

October 10th
Oh my goodness, has it been two weeks already since my last post?! Sorry for the delay but life just seems to be keeping me busy these days. However, that doesn't mean I haven't been working on my sketch cards. Here are the latest finished cards as well as one of the commissions I forgot to post last time around. It's My friend Jonesy as Night Thrasher... with an afro. I've also included 3 cards that are still in the pencils stage of completion, since I never seem to post any of my pencil work on here anymore(it's 2h pencil work on a 2.5" x 3.5" bristol card). As for latest news, still no completed script for Sonic Youth number 4. Hopefully I'll receive it soon so I will have it done before Thanksgiving... Still gearing up for Tucson Comic Con, but with school and work I'm way behind where I want to be in preparation for the show. So, like usual, I'll probably be running around like a crazy man for the full week before the show... Talk to y'all soon.

Sketch Cards available
Hello everyone,
Here are 6 of the sketch cards I'm going to have available for purchase this upcoming Saturday (the 25th) at Jesse James comics. All of them except the Scarlet card will be $5, Scarlet will only be a dollar since she had a bad ink bleed and the resulting fix... well it didn't help the card any... Hope to see you all there!

Art work.. where the... ?!
For some reason blogspot "lost" my account yesterday when I was trying to post artwork and I had almost given up hope on my little site here. But now, somehow, my username and password work again. Unfortunately I'm too tired to post anything tonight so if your just dying to look at my art just click the Deviantart link and my newest sketches are there in all their glory!

Busy, Busy!
So I've kept myself extremely busy here the past week or so drawing new images for some of the upcoming shows. Unfortunately with work and now school I'm not sure if I'm going to have prints done in time for next weekends show at Jesse James Comics. However, the originals will be available for purchase and of course, viewing. Here are a few of the images both inked and painted. Enjoy and let me know if you are interested in purchasing any prints.

New Art
Cover for the Comic book Gemini that I worked on for Peter Zuppardo. We created this character last year and slowly I have been drawing his book and character for him. He had this idea to use a Norman Rockwell painting which has a pose of a puppeteer working with 2 characters. So I appropriated the pose and added our villain, Pastor, manipulating the lead character, Ryan. I really liked how this one turned out in the end even though I had to borrow from a master. Pencil, india ink and painted in Photoshop CS4

Sonic Youth #3 Complete
Ahhhhh. I love it when I'm actually happy with my artwork. Sonic Youth number 3 is in the books and is now being lettered as we speak. Hopefully it will be on the local bookshelves in the next couple of weeks. But I've been keeping very busy with my work. We have a couple of events coming up here in the next few weeks, Jesse James Member Appreciation day on Saturday August 28th and then a comic book day art in Mesa on September 10th and 11th. Here is my newest piece for Sonic Youth, this has all three main characters; Milli, Molly and Keiran. It is in the process of being painted and both black and white and color prints will be available for purchase at a low price of $10- $15.
