Day 2

Another good day! Still meeting great people here at the convention and finding some great deals on art and comics! I'm an artist but a fan first! Here are some of my favorite costumes and a couple of drawings I worked on today. I drew the Captain America and Ernie from Spazdog drew the Nick Fury on the Marvel Projects cover and I chose Witchblade to grace the Image United cover.

Day 1

One day down for Phoenix Comicon 2010 and 2 to go! I had a great time talking to folks today and met a lot of great people, you have to love the support in the artist community. It was so cool to talk to local guys that have made it big, like Tony Parker, Mike DeBalfo and Raven. Got some great sketches and signed stuff from them and hope to get more. I was so busy talking and drawing today that I did not get to take as many photos as I would of liked but here are a few. The drawing is just a sketch of X-23 that I ended up coloring with some Copic markers this morning and two of my favorite costumes from the day. Much more to come tomorrow.

Comicon is here!

Well I'm up late packing up everything for the show tomorrow and I came across an old painting I did a few years back that I had thought was lost forever. Guess I should organize my portfolios more often! Anyways, I'll post it up here since I don't want to spoil any of my new stuff yet and I don't have any teasers for you from Sonic Youth #2 yet. Enjoy, and I hope to see you at the show!

Phoenix Comicon T - 2 Days!

Sorry for such the long delay in posts! I've been preparing for the Phoenix Comicon the past few weeks and working hard to complete Sonic Youth #2 and inking Shadow Wolf #1 for fellow Spazdogger Jacques LaGrange . Unfortunately Sonic Youth will not be completed in time for the show, but it will be available soon. I've worked on a few new sketches here and there but for the most part I haven't completed any big works to sell at the show. So if you have any requests for a drawing you can swing on by tables T94(or 500-502, I'm not sure exactly where we are yet) and I can work one up for you! Anyways, here is the table layout for the convention center. I will post more soon!

Here are a couple new pieces for the Phoenix Comicon I'll be selling, Superman and Spiderwoman. The show is coming up quick and I'm hoping I can be prepared! If you'll be joining us at the show I will be exhibiting at location T94,which I think is in the Phoenix Convention Center. I will have definite info in the next week or so. Stay tuned!

FCBD Part 2

Here are a few more drawings. I was extremely happy to draw a Black Widow piece for this one gentlemen's sketch book. He had some extremely talented people in that book so hopefully my piece doesn't bring down the value :).

Free Comic Book Day Sketches!

Thank you to everyone that stopped by Samurai Comics today for free Comic Book Day. It was a blast to draw for the kids and the adult kids! Here are the sketches I did remember to take photos of. The kid in the War Machine costume won the best Iron Man costume at the store, by the way. If you want to commission a piece please just send us an email to and we will let you know the prices and time frame for me to get the art work to you. Prices for drawings like I did today would be $25 for an 8x 11 pencil and ink work.
