Unsuitable Attire for Hiking
Drawing I did at work while systems were down. Don't know where I came up with that costume... pretty bad. Kind of a cross between Psylocke, Emma Frost and women running gear. Liked the drawing otherwise. Still probably should add some even darker shades to bring out the foreground but this is just the initial image. In other news, Sonic Youth number 3 is over halfway finished and I'm really liking how it looks so far. I will share some of it once I get the inks done.

Family is keeping me busy! It was a wonderful service today for my grandmother, so keeping busy with all the boys has helped take my mind off things. Plus I've enjoyed the company of my family and friends that I haven't been able to see in a in over a year. Here are a couple of the cards I did for the boys, Wolverine and Hulk,( of Marvel) that I did today. Wolvie is a version I did of Yu's famous image I did from memory and Hulk is... just the Hulk!

Back Home in Michigan
I had to fly home to Michigan this weekend for the death of my Grandmother. It has been a sad weekend but the same time it has been good to be back amongst my parents and relatives, whom I don't get to see to often anymore due to living clear across the country. I've been doing doodles and trading cards for my nephews and I get to post these two because they aren't around to take them away from me! Enjoy and I will have more if time permits...

Spazdog Press #4 now available
Saturday, July 3, 2010
I attended the "Independents Day" event at Samurai Comics today and once again had a blast hanging out with the guys from Spazdog and conversing with the other artists and attendees. The event had some big name people there, Brian and Kristy Miller from Hi- Fi Color had a panel (which I missed Unfortunately). I once again had the pleasure of conversing with Daniel Davis and watching him create his new villain for Monster Commute. Has ability to fly thru and draw with Adobe Illustrator was amazing. I also met another amazing artist, Meredith McClaren (inoquitousfish.blogspot.com). Her style is very so clean and polished, I was very impressed with her work. When I wasn't talking to the wonderful fans and artists, I did happen to actually work! I worked on a few sketch cards today, nothing fancy, but it was fun to try and draw really, really small. I've also included a sketch for a massive painting I'm working on because Erin says it is the "most favorite thing I've ever done." So even though it's not even done yet, I had to show it off...
